GSC Game World indicated that the prequel to last year's acclaimed first-person shooter, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, will be out next month. The prequel, named S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky, has been developed and will be published by Deep Silver.
The prequel features a mercenary's journey to the Chernobyl nuclear power plant that takes place before the events occurs in Shadow of Chernobyl.
The prequel faces a delay, as the original release date of August 29 has now been pushed to September 5.
Is this prequel worth waiting for? Well, built on new X-Ray 1.5 game engine, the game is one of the very few that will sport both DirectX 9 and DirectX10 graphics on gaming rigs. It should worth a look, at least.
