Last month, Microsoft had pulled down Xbox LIVE for 24-hour maintenance which probably part of this upcoming dashboard update. New Xbox Dashboard will bring myriad bug fixes and number of tweaks.
For HD video fans, this dashboard update will bring 1080p streaming support. Apart from that, several other features would be included like Avatar Awardable and Avatar Marketplace which will allow purchase of new clothing in exchange of Microsoft points.

Users will have to use their Windows LIVE ID and after registering those users will have to fill up Xbox LIVE Update Preview Sign Up survey to get them listed in probable for Preview System Update list.
