At the Open Source in Mobile World conference, Dr. Ari Jaaksi, director for Open Source Operations, Nokia spoke about future plans for the Maemo Internet Tablet OS and shared few details pertaining to the upcoming Maemo 5 release. Nokia's Internet Tablet will get 3G support with HSPA (High Speed Packet Access), TI OMAP 3 processor for higher speed.
The future of Mobile Internet Devices looks interesting with developments from Nokia's end. Many OEMs such as Asus, HP, Intel, Fujitsu and more will join this MID race in the coming year. Let's hope India gets its 3G and soon.
