The cue comes from various Taiwanese manufacturers shipping parts for what is suspected to be of the new iPhone. The rumors got a nice kick, thanks to the decision by several carriers to slash the price of their existing iPhone 3G stocks - a move that is being seen by many as an attempt to clear old stock and make way for the new product. If that was not all, the recent OS 3.0 update had also showed cues of two new iPhone variants that might see the light of the day in the near future.
Going by what has been revealed by the OS 3.0 internal code references, many think there will be two iPhone variants up for grabs. A "Pro" version and a normal one. The Pro version is expected to be the high end, feature packed device and is likely to sport a 5-megapixel camera with auto focus wit the rest of the features similar to the normal version. The other one is a normal upgrade over the existing iPhone 3G with a 3.2 megapixel camera, video recording, digital compass and support for 802.11N.
Let's wait and watch how things turn out in June. Although we have slight doubts of the possibility of both the devices landing in June, with Apple, you cannot really predict!
