The A455 sports a QWERTY keyboard and boasts of SMS friendly features like one-touch access to texts, emoticons and instant messaging. It is available in two color options, purple and tin silver, the Motorola Rival allows users to take and make calls using an external touch pad dialer without opening the slider. As for the other features, the phone comes with a basic 2-megapixel camera that should suffice for "normal" photography. The capacity for 500 text messages seems limited since we have phones today that can store much more! For multimedia freaks, the phone comes with a decent media player and sports a 3.5 mm jack as well. Memory can be expanded upto 8GB.
The phone also has preinstalled IM clients. All you need to do is to enter your credentials and you're on your way to IM bliss! The A455 Rival is now available on sale in Canada under a three-year contract. There has been no word as to when the phone will land in other global markets.
