Nokia 2608 CDMA Announced
Nokia has announced its latest entrant into the CDMA segment in the form of the Nokia 2608, a clamshell directed at the low-end, high-volume segment.
A phone designed to keep basic users happy; it only carries essential features along with some multimedia capabilities such as an FM radio, a voice recorder, a flashlight, and a mobile organizer. Appearance-wise, it will turn occasional heads - especially with the pink option. The 1.8 inch (128 x 160) screen should be good enough for readability. The 1.5 MB user memory is definitely inadequate.
The phone is expected to be launched in the first quarter of January 2009 in select markets outside the US. There is no word on the price.
