The Solar hybrid phone can be recharged with sunlight as well as electricity through normal charging outlets. Even if the battery has completely lost its charge, just 10 minutes of solar recharging via a panel on the phone's body provides approximately one minute of talk time.
On the features front, this handset comes with an 8-megapixel CCD and a host of other multimedia features. Apart from being solar powered, the phone has a waterproof body, resistant to water sprays from all directions and submergible to depths up to one meter.
The Solar Hybrid will be exhibited at the DOCOMO booth at Wireless Japan 2009, which will take place at Tokyo Big Sight from July 22 to 24.
