AVG's Internet Security will be made available in these retail stores at Rs. 1,999 for one user and Rs. 2,499 for three users, while the basic anti-virus package will be made available at a Rs. 999. Another product -- Identity Protection, that allows you to surf, search, bank, pay bills, shop and play online, will also be available.
Software manufacturers are usually plagued by the problem of piracy, leading to major losses in revenue. By making their solution directly available to the public, AVG will hope to reduce losses faced through piracy, while gaining a jump on competitors in a very competitive security software market.
