Lakshmi Pratury is struggling to keep her eyes open. With just a few days to go for TED to have its very first event in India, Pratury is keeping hours that blend day into night. Technology enthusiasts in India have longed to access TED in the flesh, to discover unknown youngsters working on cutting-edge technologies. Pratury was well aware of this when she broached the idea of an India event to TED founder Chris Anderson about a year ago. As it unfolds from November 4 at the Infosys campus in Mysore, Karnataka, TED India promises to be an exciting landmark in changing the way the world perceives India, and the way Indians perceive India.
